about.
My name is Aaron Dong, and I am a senior at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Journalism and Mass Communication. I am doubling in Psychology and Strategic Communications with a certificate in Digital Studies. I am currently in Advertising Club, and work a job as a barista at Aldo's Cafe. I value communicating and working with others to build, analyze, and discuss strategic solutions to certain situations. I enjoy expressing myself to others creatively through writing, editing, and utilizing multimedia devices.
Collectively, I feel prepared to pursue my future aspirations post-graduation with the gained experiences, skills, and practices that I am now able to apply.
professional.
I mainly aspire to focus on my Strategic Communications degree, and am looking for positions in the public relations, advertising, digital marketing, and social media fields. In the Advertising Club, I won “Best Overall Campaign” for working with the Chazen Museum by discussing their promotional needs, creating personal social media posts, and increasing their audience engagement with a specific demographic. In addition, I am currently in two Journalism courses where I work with real-life clients in Social Media Marketing and Public Relations.
personal.
Beyond my academic and professional career, I have formed many lasting friendships during my undergraduate years. When I am not with my friends, I enjoy running as I just ran a half-marathon this past year, and finding different ways to express myself, such as focusing on my style.
